Correction: Repair TONIGHT and Boil Water Notice off Plant 1

Customers off Plant 1 between Berger RD to FM 935 will experience low to no water due to our crew repairing a main distribution line.  Once service is restored in a couple of hours, these customers will be under a boil water notice.  Below is the boil water notice.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

Boil Water Notification

Due to a leak on a main distribution line, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has required our public water system Little Elm Valley WSC, PWS ID 0140025, to notify customers to boil their water prior to consumption.  This will affect customers off Plant 1 between Berger RD to FM 935.

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and for making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to consumption. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the water system officials will notify you that the water is safe for consumption.  The rescind notice will be issued in the same manner as this Boil Water Notice.

Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses). You can do this by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail.

If you have questions regarding this matter, you may contact Robert Jekel at 1-800-826-4322.

If a customer wishes to reach TCEQ, they may call 512-239-4691.
